This insurance product can help you cover expensive treatment costs incurred after you are diagnosed with this or any other critical illnesses included under the policy. This policy pays benefits directly to the insured, instead of paying the hospital or the health care provider facility. Some of the expenses covered as policy benefits may include initial diagnostic tests, daily hospitalization benefits, surgery, medications, intensive care, and more.

Insurance starts from the date the first premium is received. However, some benefits require a waiting period before they come into effect.

Under the Protect policy, the benefit for the first cancer diagnosis becomes effective 30 days after the policy is issued.
