Disability (Cancer Policy)

The insured’s inability to perform important duties of their occupation due to some type of cancer or critical illness, as defined in the policy, provided said disability entails loss of wages and not being employed in a paid occupation of any kind. The insured will not be considered as having suffered loss of wages if they are entitled to receive wages for vacation and/or sick leave. If the insured is receiving State Insurance Fund benefits, the monthly benefit payable will be limited to a maximum of two hundred fifty dollars or half the monthly benefit acquired, whichever is less. During any disability period, the insured must be under the regular care of an authorized physician.
