The Heart and Stroke Policy covers the following benefits:

- The insured’s transportation and lodging
- The accompanying family member’s transportation and lodging
- Primary care physician visits during hospitalization

- Anesthesia
- Heart transplant
- Medical equipment for home use
- Ambulance
- Drugs and medicines
- Nursing services
- Physiotherapy
- Oxygen
- Home nursing services
- Diagnostic tests
- Outpatient surgery center
- Second and third opinion
- Hospice
- Government hospital
- HMO benefit
This coverage is available for people between 0 and 70 years of age. Premiums for people younger than 65 years of age are different from premiums for people between 65 and 70 years of age. The policy has two benefit tiers identified as A and B. The difference between them are the amounts to be paid for the different benefits and the corresponding premium.
Coverage A has twice the benefit limit than coverage B.
The basic policy has a 30-day waiting period as of the effective date. During this period, no benefits will be paid for the conditions covered by the policy.
Should any loss covered by the policy occur during this period, the insured has the option of requesting the cancelation of the policy and the return of the premiums paid.
